Default boosting issues

Ok I've searched... seems like its my wastegate problem but I thought I might as well as ask to make sure... (flamesuit on)

I checked all the nuts and bolts to make sure theres no boost leak.

my problem with my greddy kit is that recently It's not making any boost if i were to go from dead stop and floor or just floor from low rpm to make boost.

at 3.5k rpm its sitting at max 2 psi and even at 4k rpm.

or sometimes there is NO boost present. however if i was rolling and rpm is sitting around 3k or near 3k and I give gas i get boost. seems like most of the time 1st and 2nd gears have less chances of making boost than the rest.

Wastegate?

im running
stock greddy kit with stock wastegate actuator.
o2 clamp
2.5" exhaust.

Sounds like your wastegate it opening too early. Reason the lower gears don't make boost is because they don't spin the turbo with the higher gears creating more turbulence. Id check your wastegate

I have a similar problem. No matter how much load i put, the turbo won't spool more than 1-2psi @3000rpm. And is not a WG/leak problem.

tighten your wastegate rod, remove any leaks. double check your couplers & clamps.

If you're still using the stock plastic intake pipe, remove it and check for holes. My friends 92 miata wasn't boosting properly, and it turned out it had melted a big hole in the back of the hard plastic section.

i checked those. checked wastegate, boost leaks. plastic pipe i didnt check before.

mainly see this problem in first and second gear if i floor from lower rpm.

have less problem wiht 3rd 4 th and 5th.

Thought i heard weird noise from WG though when i was shifting.

The diaphram in the wategate might be fucked if your hearing noise from the wastegate.
