suspension and compliance tests as well.

at the runoffs they run a digital x ray of some sort to measure thicknesses of components and check part numbers.

The top teams in F1 all cheat, they seem to be doing pretty good at winning.

For the other F1 teams that don't cheat or don't know how to,well look where they are at.

MikeD you need to face the facts that cheating is part of winning,if you don't do it someone else will.

I emailed the guy on some of his parts. He seems dishonest and the cam gears he has advertised as adjustable are just stock ones. Look at his other listings.

I guess he is just trying to win a few dollars by cheating a little. If you cheat, sooner or later someone will cheat on you.

Don't compare Club racing to F1.

Spike,

For me it isn't worth the end COST of cheating. As I said, reputation, cost of tear down, penalties and fines. I know people that have been dumped out of the SCCA to the tune of $20k. Not worth it to risk it.

ooh i emailed the high bidder:

As a member of the specmiata racing community do you really want to get a repuation of being a cheater? Do you think it is wise to purchase these obviously illegal cams for your race car considering how easy it will be to determine your identity? Not a threat, but how about using a little common sense...this is club racing.

/waits for responderz

There is a big difference between "cheating" and "mis" intreptation of the rules. A lot of those NASCAR references were teams bending the rules and then getting ruled against. The risk you take is that your times are disallowed, it happens. F1 is the same way. There isn't nearly as much grey area in SM.

Whats the deal with all these super off topic threads? First, a discussion of cams would probably be best in general miata, but greddy works. Second, I dont care who cheats and who doesnt, im here to find out how to make my miata fast, for me. I was actually kinda interested in the topic ...

oh well
hey, almost forgot ... its friday!

Sorry, I got carried away. Did not mean any disrespect to the OP.

OP: Those cams are ****, dont buy stuff from someone so untrustworthy. Especially for a turbo app theyre not going to be suitable.

and admin: watch your mouth, there are kids here.
