I dont think its about being M/net nettish about things but more about being practical. Like someone the exhaust housing is only so big. I guess it goes back to that idea of will 1000K wheels really be better than my rotas.

Although I must say Im curious to see how they would get the size of a pipe to work as that is why we stayed with a 2.5 when RM prototype their part on mine. Any more and the fire wall would need a BFH

Well BEGI uses 2.5in up top and then flares to 2.75" so firewall clearance shouldnt be an issue.

I like the way you think man... I'll post pics of my race car when it's finished in a few years. It's getting smoke stacks through the roof just in front of the hatchback (mid engine diesel).

confirmed:

Wow - Word spreads fast around here! It is true. Yesterday we agreed to do a divorced gases downpipe for the greddy kits. I believe there is a 1.6L kit lined up, but we would still need several more development cars. So if ya'll are in the area, shoot me an e-mail for more information. So far, there are no other upgrades planned.

I'm confused? Does this mean with out other development cars that BEGI won't do the DP?

Ben got someone to give give them a car to make a jig for. and Ben will be purchasing one once they are down designing it (give it a week). As fars as needed more cars for development Stephanie might have been mistaken. When they build my T3 downpipe I sent them my turbo and they used that as their template to build others.

It sounded like Corky was excited to get his paws on a greddy 1.6 (He said something like "uhh... duh, yes" when asked if he'd fab the dp next week), but disappointed it would only be for a couple of days. They were not interested in me shipping them my mani and turbo. Maybe he's considering offering other goodies into the market, and actually needs a complete development platform. I dunno, that's speculation. Maybe if BRG leaves his car a while, he'll find a shiny new surprise under the hood. Maybe I'm completely wrong--and it's certainly not place to say. At minimum, he's gettin the hook up on a sweet downpipe.

He spent a day fabbing mine, so you never know. I'm pretty sure the use a universal bottom half, so all they gotta do is build the top half to fit.

Who did the development on FM's greddy intake and the I/C kit they used to sell? Was it Bell?

If it wasn't -30*C outside today I'd take my manifold/turbo/DP off and send it to Bell for the winter. For the cost BEGI should just purchase a kit, even a used one. OR offer a trade in for someone to upgrade to the Series Z.

If I wasn't so @#$%^ far from Midland, TX they could use my car for a template. I'm in for a divorced WG DP after the first of the year.

I will be dropping off my 91 BRG at Bell Engineering on Tuesday (12/05). They will have access to my BRG for the required time needed to fabricate the downpipe.

By DP I assume you mean Double Penetration right?

Anyway ... yay for BEGI taking the time to do something for us lowly Greddy owners!
