Do I have this Begi (Bosch?) bypass valve hookup up correctly? It leaks
Referring to this bypass valve:
BEGI Miata turbo Bypass Valve - 1 3/8" BEGi
Assuming the connection where you put the vacuum line is the top of the unit, I have the bottom connection of the unit tied into my intake piping (after IC, before TB). The side connection goes back into my intake before the turbo. I tested my IC system for leaks and there is air coming past the valve (so basically air moving from the bottom connection to the side connection past the internal valve). Do I have this hooked up correctly and should it be leaking like this? I don't see anyway to adjust it, is it non-adjustable? Is there an OEM bypass valve I can pick up at a local parts store that will work for my purposes if in fact I do have it hooked up correctly and it should not be leaking air as I described and is broken? Thanks!

sorry, camera problems, but I think I have it connected correctly based on some photos I recently found on the Begi site...is there a way to tighted the valve so the piston isn't pushed up by boost? it might be ok because I'm probably pushing over 20psi with my little compressor I'm using to test for boost leak so I'm hoping during normal operation (10/12 psi) there will be no leak-woudl be nice if I could adjust it but I'm guessing tension on the piston is fixed. thanks.

this one confuses me then, because the boost is to the side port. you can tell since the alternator is right there. http://www.bellengineering.net/image...assvalve_2.jpg
