The price ranges 250-300 for these sets of h-beam rods. All claim to be forged, use ARP bolts and are weight matched.

Anyone have concerns, or have reported failures for any of these in an approx 250 rwh; 7500 redline; roadrace application?

I have them in mine at 252 whp, 15 track days, no issues. Haven't heard of any issues with them at even more hp, just not as lite as the Carrillo rods, as they weigh within a gram or 2 of the stock rods and they do have ARP rod bolts and very closely matched weight wise..

Mine were balanced to the gram although I didn't weigh the ends individually. Totally adequate for anything except the most extreme builds IMO.

most rod failures are because of improper torquing of rod bolts, not because of the rods them selfs. if you have any doubts about the rods, then dont buy them. Get some carrillo rods. With the low budget stuff i would have the machinist check the big end, i have heard of eagles needing to be recon'd right out of the box. But like i said, torquing is the big thing to get right. Use a stretch gauge and have no worries

I haven't heard of any issues with the rods. In what way did they need reconditioning? I'm curious. Why didn't they just have them replaced by the seller?

I have not seen a H beam break through the beam of the rod.

I have seen spun rod bearings, and pounded out wrist pin bushings.

I can not think of a set out of the box balanced to the standards I use. But they are normally close.

Dale Do you believe the spun rod brgs and wrist pin bushing problems were the rods fault or an improper asm. process or tune?

I had the cheapest ones on egay and they were just fine. im getting them again actually.

I don't remember who, but I thought I remember reading that someone found the markings on their egay rods were the same as the brand-name ones.
