For now, this is a feeler thread to see how many people are interested. If there is interest, we will do the field testing, and assuming the test goes as expected, we will offer them for sale. This is targeted at GReddy, custom manifold, BorgWarner EFR, FM, etc. users who cannot/do not want to redrill and use our proven M10x1.50 studs.

The stud kit will be the same as what we currently offer, except with M8x1.25 studs and nuts. We will include a small bottle of Resbond 907TS as well, since its use is a critical component to the success of any stud.

Pricing below is an estimate, it will be adjusted once we have final quotes from our supplier.

Group buy participants - first 10 people:
-Full deposit, due upon order, non-refundable
-$110 shipped to the lower 48

Once we get 10 people, we will close the group buy, and once they arrive we'll put them up on our site at their retail price.

I have no problem drilling my EFR for M10 studs. Id strongly consider jumping on this if i could get the M10s at the group buy price..

Count me in on the group buy, if this goes from gauging interest to definitely happening, and assuming your testing shows that Inconel 8mm hardware is just as glorious as the 10mm variety. Sticking with 8mm studs would be less of a hassle for me. I need to order your radiator soon, so might be able to just toss these in the same box, if I come up with the $ for the radiator by then.

Don't you non v-band peasants need the 8mm studs for the turbo outlet to the DP? I was stretching those on my old set-up too.

Good point, no downpipe clamp to the bellhousing? That ended the outlet issue issues for me.

There are 4 bolt holes on the turbine inlet flange. The one hole closest to the internal wastegate has very little clearance for a nut to fit. It's so close that the 10mm hardware might not fit. My 10mm stuff will be arriving soon and I will know if it fits when it gets here. Do you actually have your efr yet yank? It's easier to see in person

...and just so you are aware Sav, unlike the 10mm studs, there are a couple vendors which already offer 8mm inconel studs at fairly reasonable prices (including, but not limited to, your direct reactionary competitor). I posted one of these vendors a few weeks back when I was looking for a solution to my DP hardware woes.

This being said - I am not sure which specific alloy they are using, the machining quality, or how it generally compares to your product. I am also not trying to knock your pricing as I am well aware of the machining costs when you're talking small batches. It's just a warning that this sea is slightly more red.

Okay guys so i just test fit the 10mm studs on my efr 6258 out in the garage. The stage 8 nut has interference problems in a couple places, but i think they can all be fixed and the 10mm hardware can be used. First of all, the nut is a bit to tall, it needed about .030 ground off of it to slide in all the way. Also, the diameter of the flange side of the nut is too big, so its going to need to be turned down on a lathe or ground down to make it possible to tighten. The locking tab is also going to need a bit ground down, but only the small piece of it that will interfere. The last, and possibly toughest part of this process, is that one bolt will have to be shortened to the perfect length to fit just right. Here are some pics so you guys get the idea.

Strange. I was under the impression that the DP studs weren't a problem, and I remember Sav saying in the loosening studs thread that they only got brittle. More **** for me to spend money on.

People have had DP studs sheer. I'm guessing it has more to do with exhaust systems not being properly constrained; however, for less than $200, it's worth removing a failure point.
