Thanks, I went with a little different offset than most. I'd rather roll and pull fenders than have that sunk in look once you add track camber. I have a liitle poke right now but once my springs and camber ball joints come in it ought to be flush. Most setups are 17x9 +63, I went with +38 Plus this setup was wife keeping at $1080 shipped with tires.

The car is gorgeous. The color is excellent. The rim size/color is just right.

Basically everything exactly as I'd do it if I had that car.

I love this thread! I had a customer in my store yesterday driving a nice looking well decked out newer 335i BMW. Saw my Miata out front. He asked about the roll bar and if I track it. Said yes, as often as I can. Told me he has an S2K for track duty. We talked about different tracks and clubs to run with, etc.

Because of this thread I could actually ask intelligent questions about his track car and how he has it set up!

I know - "excellent story chap" - but this is a very informative thread about another roadster, with a big enthusiast and track following, I previously knew little about. Just wanted to say thanks.

Hey thanks man. I'm thinking about keeping it going as I track the car through out this first year. It really is similiar to a turbo miata and they are getting so cheap now most of you will have to make this choice (turbo miata/s2000) sooner or later.

Ok, so I got the Megan Racing springs on that actually had the rates I needed, small 1" drop, and were only $130 shipped. I trimmed the bump stop about 3/4" all around and the car rides really nice. Lets hope it handles good on the track. I need to get an alignment Monday since I dropped the car and added the spc camber joints. I'll post pics after it gets the track camber.

I could only get a 2:03 Friday, I know where I could get some more time but I spun out and the second time you get the boot off the track. I think a 2:00 flat is in reason if I man up in some of the faster corners. The car needs some stiffer springs, front sway, and better brake pads.

So, you mean I shouldn't have raced a whole season with cracks like this on my z06, with stoptechs? Those cracks are nothing till they get to the edge. But have a set of replacements handy.
