The right one mentioned above was referring to one that already has a six speed. Six speeds last longer at higher torque loads than five speeds. But you can always buy a six speed transmission later and exchange it.

You will have a LOT of fun with a Miata that makes 1hp per 7lbs. It's about where I am at the moment.

Well thanks for all the advice guys!
Definitely the most friendly forum I've seen so far!
The lady I was purchasing the car from is having second thoughts due to some friends telling here she was crazy selling the car at that price...she is rethinking it and will let me know later this evening.
I'm in contact with another seller (same model, 10AE) just in case

Haha
Well as it stands atm I am talking to a guy with a slitly modified/"tuned" 10th AE
"It is a Exedy Stage 1 street Performance clutch ... Flywheel is a fidanza ... Flywheel + clutch waights 6.5kg ... I have the original coilovers its from Bilstein but in the Car is adjustable coilovers from Vmaxx hiltrac, magnaflow muffler ... And Last i have a original Brake kit with only 20000km"

I bet is's been driven hard and it's also lowered + front lip and side skirts(10cm high at the front and 8cm at the sides)

I want to buy it but I really don't know if I'd get onboard the ferry to Norway :P It's not a huge problem if the lip and skirts get damaged but would be rather embarrassing.

Tell the ferry crew that your car is lowered and demand to be put at the higher deck.
I didn't and was sent to the lower deck. The front scraped and the lip got smashed when driving onboard. Alternative plan: bring some sort of ramps.

Oh, and hello fellow Norwegian!

Hello to you, lots of Nordic people here
I think the main problem is getting onboard the boat. I think I might buy it and see how it goes having a hard time deciding atm..

Does the proper spelling of your name include the o above the a? Because that's awesome.

Yes, it's "Håvard"
Well I've got some good/bad news;
My girlfriend's grandparents are moving to an apartment and we're taking over the house/buying it. Gonna happen this summer(thought it was next year but due to health issues it's happening sooner...got the message this weekend. The house is old(needs a lot of work) so the purchase of the mx-5 is going to be put on hold for a year :(

But thanks for great advice so far, sorry I wasting of your time.

10AE is excellent choice for a race car. I race my turbo 10AE in a Finnish TimeAttack series. Check my build thread and youtube channel
