Default I'm being lazy - Tire recommendations?

I've currently got 16x7 wheels. A pretty bust size for tire shopping so i'm considering picking up a 15x8 wheel.
  1. Anyone know if there are clearance issues with the 2002 sport brakes and a 15 inch wheel?
  2. What are good track tire options for a 15x8
  3. What are good track tire options for 16x7

I've got my eye on:
Toyo RA1
Nitto NT01
Yokohama A048-R

I'd like something cheapish but we all know this ish ain't a cheap hobby. I'd like to stay with a rolling diameter of 23-24 inches and I'll probably need some width. It's roughly a 330whp setup.

Love you guys.

good tire but a 205 is a little small for your power.

Yup...2 new tires coming from Toyo.

The RR is a Dot-R tire targeting the racers who run RA1's and R888's. The tire dealers pushed Toyo to make a tire that cycles like a RA1/R888 but with smooth face and lower thread depth that does not require shaving. Suppose to be the same GG compound that is used in the RA1 and R888.

The RS1 is a full race slick using the same GG compound that is used in the RA1 and R888. It will be a non Dot tire.

The 205 and 225 are a done deal for the RR. I don't know what the deal is for the 245 but would be happy if it were made in either one.

FWIW I have touched them both. Smooth like fine young breasts.

NT01's and 15x9 6ULs. They rock. They hold 300+ fairly well, and according to the turbo ls1 cat, they actually hold 650+ hp well also.

I'm on a 215/45/16 Kumho XS. They're the best streetable tire I've been able to find for a 16x7 wheel. For what they are they're great around corners (probably a good bit off the others you mentioned though) but could certainly be better for straightline traction.

they suck in cold and wet. i prefer my 205/45/16 Riken Raptors for Daily driving.

If you're getting 225 15's you can't go wrong with the RS3 for the road. NT01s howl at daily driving speeds.

Good luck finding a set. You have to buy them in winter to get a set. You'd think they were blizzacks

How are you going to fit a 225/50/16? Its a SUPER tall tire.
