My favorite aspect was actually driving around behind it on track. We set the flatshift for ign cut to purposely put some fuel in the exhaust. So it would make a characteristic loud pop with each 80ms shift. That part of the soundscape was pure GT3 cup car. WAAAAOPOPWAAAAAAPOPWAAAA. Downshifts were so fast that it sounded much the same. Second funnest(?) thing was those last moment downshifts entering turns at high revs. In an H pattern car with wider ratios, it's usually faster to leave it in one gear to avoid an awkward downshift. In the Quaife, it doesn't matter. To wit, full throttle upshifts existing the Corkscrew at around 2g. So many wins.

Agreed....So full of win.

I am soooo grateful to have you pave the way on this. Money is finally loosening up on my end so this will become a reality for me as well.

I've driven a 997 cup car in anger so I know exactly what you're talking about. With a properly setup sequential you can make gear changes in places you would never dream of in an H pattern. It's truly a game changer when shifting does not upset the car in the slightest. It's almost laughable!

PS Thanks to Brexit for making this more realist!

Prime example at 3:26 in the video. Sonny is crossed up sideways over the crest the Corkscrew and thinks to him self "This seems like a great time for a full throttle upshift while I counter steer wildly over this blind crest with the one hand"
Of course!

You're making me start thinking really really hard about how to justify a sequential transmission to my wife in a few years.

Hi. Sorry for messing your thread with a question but I saw you has this setup for years and maybe you could help. Next week I'll get my 60G sequential trans for my NB and trying to figure it how should I set the shift cut. The factory recommended the closed loop shift cut (reengage the ign after the transmission gear indicator reached the next gear) but the MS3 does not have this feature. I can set only shift cut delays which is open loop. How did you set the shift cut in your setup? For downshift I installed a DWB and the blips would work (I tested it with the stock transmission and is working as expected). I have loadcell in the gearknob.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the fast reply. Could you show your sequential shift cut menu? What are your delay times? This is the default settings

Thx

That ECU is no longer in the building, sorry. Besides you will have to experiment to see what works for you.
