@ cordycord,
Can any updates on the testing of this new hub design be provided? Are you looking at making this available to the market before the 2017 racing season opens in March?

Is there any more updates on this? Are they holding up? I can't wait to never repack bearings again.

I have to apologize - we simply haven't had the time to test them the way we want. We have them installed on a couple of cars, but other factors have prevented us from really hammering on them. The media attention for the ND V8 has kept me out of the office most of the time. To add to this, our local big track is shutting down for the season in a week.

So we can either release them and trust the engineering - I'm pretty comfortable with that - or we can test as best we can on our little local track and/or wait for HPR to open up again. As a consumer of hubs, I want to get these out there as much as anyone.

Sorry, I was having trouble getting my posting through and I got tired of them disappearing. As you can see, I edited it to be a little more eloquent.

Anyhow, we have a volunteer. The hubs will be run in a 16 hour WRL race at COTA with a team of known hub killers behind the wheel. As of early December, we'll have a very good idea how they stand up.

Does Emilio700 have any experience yet that he wants to share with the tapered roller bearing hubs?

FM is the exclusive retailer for this product so we will defer to their in house product evaluation.

Anyone else dying to hear about the results? I'm stockpiling parts for winter projects and really want these on my list.

I know that the first of December is technically "early December", but the COTA race hasn't happened yet. We have found some problems with the initial bearings sent with the hubs, we're trying some new spec ones.

Unfortunately, the problems we found a couple of weeks ago prevented the guys from running them at COTA.

Have there been any new developments on the bearing trials? I would like to see if these are an option before I replace my front hubs for the next autocross season.

Thank you all who have been putting in development time and effort towards these hubs.

I would buy new hubs and repack them now, instead of possibly waiting for these newer better ones. Swapping front hubs is relatively easy so if they do get out sometime this autox season you can swap then. I would not hinge my season on waiting for them though.

Hub swap is not much harder than a tire swap.
