Who has flat shifting setup?
Ive got a 2 step and flat shifting. Its definately quicker with the flatshifting but its very hard to get a good smooth shift everytime.
Also Im not sure my 6 speed likes it much.
Thoughts?

Experiences?

I don't know many people messing with it, we have weak enough transmissions as is.

I have read a few mentions here. i figure with the spark retarded a ridiculous amount from the moment you touch the clutch until a millisecond after its in gear isnt that bad.
But having said that the clutch provides a gradual take up, where as a spark cut, followed by full spark doesnt.
Having said that how is this worse than a full spark cut rev limiter. Spose thats happening where not much torque is.

I would think it's the re-application of power that's probably more of the issue for the transmission - like you said, the flat-shift cuts it for a split second then bam you're back to full power and the transmission has to take it.
Rev limiter is just cutting spark out, so isn't so bad - I don't think there's enough time between cut outs (if you were to stay on the limiter) for the turbo to re-spool and develop enough torque to really jack with the trans..
