Default front subframe striped chassis nut inside apron

What's the best solution for a stripped nut attaching the NA front subframe by the LCA rear position. I could not get torque on the bolt to go beyond 35 Ft/lbs. Is the helicoil or timesert doable in this location ? Is drilling and tapping to next size up (m12) better. Need to see the body shop manual how to access this nut if welding a new one is the only option. The rest of the bolts on the chassis seem to hold torque. Need some advice on best path to repair. Thanks much

I ended up using a heilcoil, was able to reach factory torque values no problem. YMMV.

I feel like you may run out of metal drilling up to the next size.

I absolutely hate helicoils. Probably not enough meat for a timesert.

I've had good luck drilling and tapping m10 threads to 7/16 when there isn't enough material to go to M12.

I had one body shop cut up the NA body,
There seems to be enough meat in this nut to either do helicoil, timesert or tap to larger size.

The timesert needs to be specific height to lock in, the helicoil is less sensitive to length and can be tried first perhaps before tapping to larger size.

Can you put a small hole in the floor above it and just get a socket on it?

As in, replace the nut with a non stripped one.

It's not in the area of the tub. It's front apron passed firewall.
