What else do track drivers want?
I am done with the mold for the integrated hood and will be putting one into the mold today, since it is finally warm enough to do so. I would like to really do everything I can to help people get as much out of their track car, for the least investment possible. Having a track car can be expensive, but I would like to help get some more aero/door bars/etc out there. I have a tubing bender on the way and can weld decent enough.
The reason why I say track car is that the parts I would make would not be of a finish level some would accept for street cars. IE If I was to make door bars, the would not be powercoated, just raw mild. They would also just have the plates on the ends with no holes cut, so you could either weld them in or drill a couple holes as needed. I could make them for $125-140.
I would also be willing to help local lemons teams make a cage in their car, as commercial ones are probably not available, and a performance shop would want $2000 or so to build one.
Give me some more ideas.

I figured there's no lip that does it, so why not makez one...he did ask.
I do like the budget door bar idea, but then again, $275 isn't very expensive either.

A more aero nose? I'm sure Savington and his crew would have some great input on that.
I'm thinking something that doesn't recess backwards below the bumper and obviously wide enough to route air around the front tires. Would have ducting for brake vents and a smaller more efficient inlet for the heat exchangers. Something more like the Nascar nose. I could be way off base on what would be more efficient and aerodynamic but it seems our noses are big wind catchers.
I'm thinking something that doesn't recess backwards below the bumper and obviously wide enough to route air around the front tires. Door bars are a must for a bunch of us that dont have them. I would also like to see a triangle strut tower bar that has a master cylinder support. As far as fiberglass a cheap trunk with a molded in duckbill like Matt Andrews would be dope maybe a smoothy tucked bumper. A super aero bumper would be dope^^^agreed.

How about 2 metal bars which go front to rear, connecting the roll bar to the windshield header? This would be for folks who don't use a hardtop. I'm thinking they would jam into the little depressions in the windshield header into which the soft top latches, using the same type of mechanism. It would have a turnbuckle so you could adjust the length to pre-stress them. You can then take them off and put them in the trunk...

That is a possibility, but I would need a strong general agreement as to what would be best. If I did it, it would be one design and not four or five.

I am having a hard time picturing this, but it doesn't seem very safe. Have you seen this before? Do you have a picture?

I'd be interested in a set of fenders and a nose. Something wide enough to completely shroud a 15x9 6UL, plus ~10-15mm on either side so when you're slightly turned through a sweeper the tire stays inside the bodywork. No excess vents, just a ~25" wide hole in the middle for the radiator and maybe a pair of holes sized for NACA ducts on either side so we can stick 2.5" brake duct hose on them. No turn signals, no parking lights.
