fit large turbo = surge?
iam aiming for 270whp and need a turbo big enough to make 270whp without being too big to create compressor surge low in the rev range. any one have a turbo in mind i will be using my car at the race track.
other thing is does an ebc allow you to fit a larger turbo so that you dont create too much boost at too low in the rev range which would cause surge?

You want to not surge in the low end but you don't want to make boost in the low end?
Also, can you be any more vague? I'm aiming for 270hp what turbo do I need? HURR DURR
Also, have you heard of the search function?
Also, have you heard of the "build threads" section?
Also......Ah hell I'm not even going to waste my time..

check the threads by Savington. in one of his previous setups he was making ~270 iirc.
basically get a 2871R with the 0.86ar hotside to flow mass amounts and you will be good.
i have that setup on my 1.6L and im going to do a 3rd gear pull later today to get a log of where my turbo actually hits boost. (around 3800-4000)
