6 Speed Shifter Turret Pic
Gents,
Is this as it should be? I got this 6-speed coupled with a used JDM NB1 motor a few years ago.
I can slide my finger completely through where the shifter bushing goes in the shift mechanism. The only thing keeping the bushing tight against the lower ball on the shifter is that little lip with the point on it that I circled in white. It just looks odd...
Thanks,

thought the lower bush had an upper lip (sorta inverted 'tophat' shaped) that stopped it dropping down in the selector?
anyway, It's possibly just casting differences but my 6 speed (later / nb2 type I believe) had a full diameter lip
ignore the nut & bolt lower left, it's to lock-out first gear selection
