Default Broken differential

So has anyone ever broken off the PPF mount from their differential? Somehow, **** if I know how... I managed to do it. Still no turbo. I don't abuse the car either, no consistent clutch dumps, donuts, burnouts, etc... What the ****!? Broke it clean off. Noticed a clunk when I start to take off, jacked up the car and found it broken in half.

I have a torsen differential in a 1995. It has one piece axles, doesn't have the little stubs that stick out with flanges. Don't recall seeing this setup on a 95 before, never actually noticed before.

Can I get just any old run of the mill 94 - 2005 axel housing and put my torsen differential carrier and gear set in it? IIRC theres nothing special about my casing...

I would just buy whats needed to convert my rear end to a ford 8.8, but I can't budget that right now... Just spent $2027.00 with Gary @ Trackdog on suspension TODAY.... and now this. :(

Did you break a diff ear (case) or the PPF mounting points (carrier)? Either way I have what you need sitting in my garage. Shoot me a PM once you figure out exactly whats busted.

I was working on pulling the differential off tonight but found someone ran off with my 29 (or is it 30?)mm socket for the axle nuts...

Yeah its the PPF mount. Its broke to ****.

Just jacked up the car to snap a photo and found a piece laying on the ground. After pulling those two bolts, I set the car back down and moved it out of the driveway to remove a car it was blocking in.. Used the cars power to do so.. think that might've shaken soemthing loose...

How the HELL did that happen?????

That appears to be the carrier.. So you've got something for me eh?

Wow, I didn't know it was possible to break that piece. Looks like all you need is a new spacer. No need to pull the diff if that's all that wrong.

Just undo the two little bolts holding the broken ends of the spacer to the carrier and swap in a new one. Assuming my spare diff has a spacer and I can get it off, you're welcome to it.

Thanks Mazdilla. Lemme know if you can get that thing off!!

There were bolts in it, but they weren't very tight. Pulled them out without any significant effort.
