Default Which Combination. Wheels and tires. auto-x

So I went ahead and took advantage of the Discount tire direct, rebate offers.

UPS man arrives today, and shows me my new goodies. Im just stumped on which combination to run.

The goal here is to create the best setup of wheel tire for auto X results.

(moving from 185 x 14 victoracers any outcome should be better)

Currently The car has 15 x 7 street dynamics...with 205 50 15 street tires...

What I got from DT.. was a set of 15 x 6.5 mb whatever wheels. and a set of 205 50 15 azenias..

The new wheels feel lighter than the current Street dyn... but they are .5 narrower...

Which set would you go for optimum tire performance for auto x / track experience. Im prepared to put the Street tires on the new wheels, and azenias on the SD wheels. I work at a dealership, so tires and alignments are awesome.

Would the slightly narrower rim cause any ill effects to the same size tire ?

Any input would be accepted... we have a 24 hour event coming up last weekend of the month, and I want to get everything situated.

wider rim with the azenis.

a narrower rim pulls the sidewalls in and in turn pulls the tread surface up a bit meaning narrower tread patch.

205/50 azenis fit a 7" rim better than a 6.5"

I ordered them un-mounted for this ...possible re-mount reason.. plus i couldn't find their option to mount azenis to my wheel....

Keepin the door open....
