FM Wilwood Little Big Brake Kit for the NC
The NC comes with pretty good sized brakes from the factory - 11.5" front and 11" rear. So we decided to work with what we had.
We put a stiff, light Dynapro caliper around the stock front rotors. This means a nice firm pedal with minimal caliper flex and easily sourced, inexpensive replacement parts. They'll even fit under stock 17" wheels with a 3mm spacer.
In the rear, we used our exclusive handbrake-compatible Powerlites. Again, stiff and light. We had to go do a different rotor to make it fit, so we borrowed an 11.9" part from the rear of the Mazda5. Again, easy to source and affordable. These fit under stock wheels and even use the stock cables. Any kit that includes the rear calipers also comes with a new set of quality rotors for the rear.
The end result feels great. Those super-stiff calipers and correctly sized pistons make for a really firm pedal with no squish along with excellent retardation. The handbrake isn't going to work for drifting, though - it's good enough to hold the car on a slight slope, but that's about it. Naturally, it's all 100% exclusive to FM.
$1350 for the full four wheel kit, or you can get just the front ($600) or just the rear ($850, including rotors). We can also supply them in red for an extra cost of $200 for the four wheel kit or $100 for one of the two wheel kits.
