Default Front end out, what should I do?

If you have seen the build thread, you know I have the whole front end out.

I've decided to put everything up front on hold and order inner/outer tie rods and ball joints. The spindle is rusted so bad none of this will come off, so I'm looking to get a good used condition one. I found a passenger side one on ebay for like $25. Used and looks to be in good condition. One of the ABS sensors its screwed so I'm going do replace that as well.

Any advice on the tie rods/ball joints? Brand? Can I just go ebay and be done with it? They have a whole kit for like $60.

I got a pair of spindles you can have if you come get them. (Might not be worth it to you.)

For you, I suppose. I want yours just in case, but we can meet up for that exchange, mabey at a meet somewhere, sometime, somehow. Or the next time you come to Austin. Do you want both, or just one.

You want mine what... spindles? They might have a steering rack attached to them lol. I really just need one, since I already bought one. I may have a deal going through on another front so let me see how it plays out.

How is it that spindles are so rusty on a TX car?

If it was me, I would look for a complete '99+ subframe, suspension and rack set-up. That way you would get the better geometry from the '99+ front subframe and newer suspension arms and spindles. Also, while everything is out and apart I would upgrade to urethane bushings as well.

It is a 2000 SE. Also the subframes were pulled in the first place to replace the bushings with energy suspension.

Ebay ball joints and tie rods are HORRIBLE!!!! under 300 miles and both my lowers were about to seperate. I went to Moog's and haven't had an issue since.

Yes actually, thanks for that, I've been meaning to update this. I've read, in the past few days, about a million people complaining that their inner tie rods were popping out, ball joints separating, etc... from ebay junk
I'll be going with some legit stuff for sure! Not worth doing if I don't do it with quality .
