Flames for you flamers.

I'm still getting them, some places are already saying the RS2 are out of production, and I will never go back to azenis.

I agree the flames are retarded but as long as they perform better than the RS-2 I don't care. Performance > looks

the fact that they designed a street comp tire to "look cool" for *******s says things...

scott, you may not like the flames.....fair enough. but they have a treadwear rating that was intended to be more competitive in the street tire classes in autocross......not ********.

street tires are for pussies. I think more than just my tires will push me out of the Miata's original class. -1 on the flames as well, I want a mature looking tire, this just sends off the wrong vibes

I don't care about the flames. One good track session and they will be gone anyway.

Damnit, I was hoping they would release these with the whole tire orange, and the flames black.

actually we have had requests for orange tires....because we had some that we would use strictly for marketing purposes at shows.

There was only one time that flamed treads were friggin' cool:

IIRC one review of the truck showed the results of a burnout it did, with a nice black flame design left on the pavement, but I can't find it.

That aside, I'd rather pay $5 less per corner and not have gayness to begin with. If the new compound is as good as reported, then the tire will sell w/o stupid marketing gimmics like faggy molded flames. Flames are for flamers.

More I think about it, the flames are a huge turn off and make me push towards the "do not want" category.

exactly. I started looking into the R2-3 and possibly waiting until April for tire, suffice to say, I'm for sure getting the Kumhos.

The flames aren't a non-starter for me, but I sure will be doing some burnouts, front to rear swap, and more burnouts before I drive anywhere public. I really liked the RS-2s, and there aren't many options for 225/45/15s as we all know. 15x8 RBs and some 225 'kook RS3s seem like the likely path I will be taking once I get paid for my tutoring job.
