Default I lost my *****, please help put them back?

Got to finding what the rattling was in my 6spd.... and none of the removed bolts where associated with these guys. Best i can think is at one point, someone pulled the star bolts that house bearings - these bearings though who knows... I haven't yet pulled a star bolt.

Anyone know where these came from or have an exploded parts view of the 6spd?

That is a bitch, which requires getting into the middle section of the trans. I have the manual, but it's 228MB, I'm trying to see if I can send it through my work email.

Try this from m.net garage.

Thanks David, I may be up in your neck of the woods next week - maybe I can bring a thumbdrive. Fileshare wants me money - booo!

I was able to convert the manual down to 12mb without any noticable loss of integrity. PM me your email address if you'd like me to try your email.

I just got the package back, it was stamped "return to sender" :( It wouldn't fit through the door of your post office apparently. Do you have a different address I can send it to?

Seriously, guys. Curly is right. DropBox is the answer for moving large files. You start with 2 GB free space, you can use it to sync files across all your machines, and you can selectively share folders with people. It's not a typical fileshare service like MediaFire, it's permanent cloud storage.

PM me your email address and I'll send you an invite- if you register with an invitation you get an extra 500MB (and so do I).

It's free. It's fast. It's convenient. And it's free.

EDIT: why am I asking for your email addresses. As your goderator, I already have them.

Invitations sent.

Why not have an mt.net dropbox? Every member has access, dont syore ---- in it. Used for transfer only, and everything is thrown out on fridays. Kinda like the office fridge. Lol

Shot in the dark on your *****...

The DSM transmissions I work on use ***** in the shift rail detents, basically for "catching" the shift rail at a specific location when changing gears. In the Supra trannys there are *****/coil springs used in lieu of circular synchro springs, but based on the couple of exploded Mazda trans views I found it looks like Mazda used the circular type. The bearings used also appear to be ball-type, as opposed to roller, so maybe you had a couple things go south.

Here is an exceptionally crappy scan of an exploded view of an FD trans:

Here's a view of what came up as a Miata transmission, with no year given:

You know what's funny? When I'm looking up someone's account, the "Ban User" button is right next to the "View Profile" button. Literally about five pixels away.

I wonder if Rick set it up that way originally on purpose?

I'd like one too if you are feeling generous I used to use drop.io but they disappeared.

Sorry for feeding the threadjack Bryan

Edit: Here's a link to Mazdaspeed parts catalogs. Gimme a minute and I'll try to find a 6 speed essploded view. http://www.mazdaspeeddevelopment.com...miatapubs.html

Double Edit: Go here, jump to page 63. 6 speed trans exploded begins there and continues for a few pages. http://www.mazdamotorsports.com/pdfs...MX5/1359_1.PDF

Of course Rick set it up that way on purpose. It's always funny to accidentally ban people! (Pst, quick, accidentally ban Pushy. We'll all laugh!)

BTW, Joe, this dropbox service is ------- fantastic. I'm sad in the pants I turned down an invite awhile ago from a co-worker at work, stupid anti-cloud bent.

Threadjack my *** Matthew - this is great! I seriously needed a *FREE* cloud server, and with dropbox I can set some of my customers up with auto-backup on the temp monitoring product I sell - now it can auto-backup the data without them lifting a finger or having to pay for it. The max data backup size is maybe 1mb, so 2GB will last forever! So awesome Joe - thanks again for the lead.

I'll get to my ***** later

If you refer them that 2.5GB will last you what, 7 years at a 1mb backup per day Gene?

Good deal bro, and you get a bonus 500mb to your own dropbox!
