Default Racelands vs kyb agx on stock springs ?? Help ??

Alright fools don't FRONT! I used the search function so don't start with they typical smart *** responses...

For mah crystal cumshot 1991 miata which is the better deal in your opinions:

1) Raceland coilovers for $299 shipped from raceland USA

OR)

2) 4 KYB AGX adjustable shocks for $260 shipped installed on stock springs.

As you all know - I hate lowering vs stock ride height. HOWEVER I would like to lower the ride for long highway cruising purposes ( to me a lowered miata always feels better on long smooth straight boring interstate roads )

Should I forgo my lowered cruising option for an adjustable stock option?

Also does anyone here use KYB adjustables on STOCK SPRINGS? (dont FRONT!! I used the goddam search button!!)

If so, how do you like it and what's the real word differences between the various settings? (dont FRONT!! I used the goddam search button!!)

Thanks in advance,

The honorable djhives

KYB's on stock springs is an excellent setup. If you find a set from a respected member on here you should not hesitate to buy them. They work great on the interstate and should still give you a pretty close to stock height which should give you full travel. So that way you and get the tires to still make noise when driven in the mountains as mazda engineers designed the car perfectly for.

Since stock shocks were designed by Mazda engineers I'd suggest you stick with the original ones. Mazda engineers spent millions developing the Mazda. The original hard rubber bumpstops were designed to increase springrate for the ultimate in handling. What they spec'd was the best-no after market company can come close to what Mazda engineered.
