I had air shocks on my LeMans in high school. They would leak down so whenever we wanted to go cruise the strip we had to stop at the gas station for $5.00 in gas (almost half a tank, lol) and air up the shocks.

These cheap air shocks with the schrader valves were also popular on Baja Beetles in the 70s and 80s. I'm honestly not sure whether they had any damping ability at all, but they sure allowed you to pump up the tail end of an already unstable vehicle.

Where is the cheapest source for these? I see $369 on the raceland site, assuming that they are no longer available for $220?

I was tempted to register as a new user to post this question....sad day.

For just $200 more the Vmaxx is absolutely the route to take IMO

18T, try the Ricelands and report back. We're interested in your opinion.

Yeah VMaxx seems like the logical choice. I've been looking at that for a while now actually. FM is basically my home page. LOL

I just replaced my blown stock **** with the Vmaxx classic's and I have never had so much fun in my car... And I am still on my shitty 14" stock wheels with dry-rotted, nearly bald Michelin's. Can't wait to get my new wheels and tires on next week!

I still have them on. At first when all I did was drive the car short distances and them have it seat for months, they were fine. Now that I drive this bitch from Orlando to Miami on the regular and so I regret not spending money and time on actual suspension. Maybe I'm getting old.
