when I really get on the gas, i can hear almost a pulsing clunk noise from the back right suspension assembly somewhere. i also hear it if im on a slight decline, making a right, so its flexing my back right wheel alot. could it be i messed something up with my diff swap install? its not a shock/spring bottoming out clunk but like something shifting repeatedly from rotational forces.

any ideas?

also, side question, i pulled my ebrake real abruptly when parking the other day, and now it feels loose, and wont hold the car. i looked underneath and it is loose on the back right wheel, im sure they are un related but thought i would mention it. the handle doesnt need to be adjusted because it pulls the back left wheel cable tight. how do i tighten up just the back right wheel cable? i didnt see anywhere to adjust it

An answer to your side question:

The adjustment screw on my right rear caliper likes to back itself out after a while (months) and renders that caliper pretty much useless. E-brake won't hold the car either. The left rear caliper still holds tight, its only this caliper. I'd check the adjustment screw.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, theres a 14 mm bolt on the backside of the caliper and underneath it is an allen bolt, that allen bolt is your adjustment screw.

Martinez: thanks I'll take a look at it. Is it like on a bike brake were you pull the cable tight then lock it In place by tightening a screw down on it to clamp it?

Did you check the U-joints? That seems a likely source for the noise you describe.

Also, look for anything loose that might be contacting the stub shaft.

No. You tighten the screw and the caliper piston comes out of its bore farther.

my brake works fine when im using the brake pedal, i can see the handbrake cable itself is loose for that brake. the brake isnt loose, just the cable.

So I know I posted this a while ago but I didn't want to make a new post.
It turns out all the hardware on my diff and axles and driveshaft is tight but I was at the dyno last night and got a chance to watch the rear end under loaded conditions and the stub shaft looks like it wobbles some rather than just spinning. Is one of my bearings blown? Or is there something internal to the diff I could replace/tighten up? Opening the diff is new to me didn't know what to be looking for or if I just need to replace the diff or housing due to something inside being irreparably broken?
