Default OS Giken Questions

I'll be putting in the OS Giken made for miatas, not adjusting anything from how 949 racing sent it.

Soon to be supercharged, mid 200whp and whatever torque. Xidas, sticky tires, aggressive (street) alignment

1. are there characteristics of this diff that make daily driving potentially dangerous?

I'm especially interested in the lift throttle behavior, or mid corner...

2. When not on dry, flat, pavement (gravel, snow, bumpy...) should i drive in a particular manner so as not to fly off the road? or just safely in general.

These might sound like stupid questions, but please be as specific and informative as possible.

No.

Seriously, that's as specific as I need to be.

Well, cool, I guess.

I'll let the community know if I find anything dangerous.

Ok, but in all seriousness, just to clarify, I will be getting more grip in ALL situations?

I don't have to worry about a snap oversteer condition or anything?

A diff won't cause snap oversteer. Unless it literally snaps itself and locks up.

A **** suspension setup will. Set your car up well, and stop overthinking it.

^thanks glade.

Now, on the 949 racing website, it says that the way the Giken is shipped, it's ideal for stock to 50% over stock power levels.

I will be around double the stock power levels...

Should I adjust the diff somehow to better suit this power level?

In all seriousness.

Buy Dirt rally. Play with the diff settings, (preload, lockup, coast load), and gain an understanding for how the diff works as a system. It's a great SIM.

Stop thinking. You will only hurt your happiness. Press throttle. Enjoy.

That is all.
