Proper method for checking ALL wearable suspension components
I'm used to subarus, and regular cars with components I can easily check with the car in the air, and a prybar.
I'm looking to make sure all the ball joints, dampers, springs, bushings... are good. Do I need to load the suspension (drive on ramps, and use prybar for example) due to the type of suspension?
I have a 2001 Miata LS that I'm bringing back to good mechanical condition. The first owner neglected almost everything.
Thanks so much,
Marcello

First know what to look for. Looks at videos on Youtube that help diagnose problems, test on your car...replace **** as needed...
Loosing alignment often? Probably time for new eccentrics
wheel bearings make noise/vertical movement in wheel? replace hubs
play in your ball joints? replace
Pretty easy, first you gotta educate yourself on symptoms, then the rest is mashed potatoes with a little dollop of money gravy on top.
