Those racing beat ones are pretty good, i ran them on my last two miata's and they seemed to hold up to everything i threw at them.

I have the RB units in the front, I doubt I've ever come close to breaking one though. The stock rears need to be replaced, they're torqued at very strange angles with the adjustable FM bar I have back there.

As much as I'd love MC's or FM's ball joint sway bar end links, I'm not sure I'd see $190 or $160 (respectively) worth of difference. $80 for 949's is definitely worth it though, although they have your aforementioned availability issues.

Thanks. I hate to not buy the 949 links but necessity is stepping in. I'm sure than in Barrack Hussein bin-Obama Farrakhan's Socialist utopia there will be an ample supply of swaybar links.

I have these and have been very happy with them. They are pretty much the same thing as Miata Cage but cheaper. There is no pretty anodized coating though.

I used to think that as well... Then the RB links I have up front stripped out from being at skew angles. Basically the RB links impose a certain geometry on the situation that doesn't accord with the actual positions of the bar and the control arm, as a result, the end link takes side thrust in addition to compression and tension. This causes it to rapidly wear out.

Don't buy the once from Saferacer. They can't handle any angle variation at all, making them a bitch to assemble right (as in hunting down longer bolts, making spacers etc etc) and after 1 summer with only 1 wet race (!!), mine where all rusty. Crap crap crap - stay away.

I recently made some end links using 7/16” aluminum rod ends

Bought some aluminum Hex and made turn buckles out of it.
I sleeved the holes down to 10mm using some tubing from Ace Hadware and use 10mm hadware including 10mm beveled washers

They seem to be really high quality and have bigger ***** which I’m thinking will have lower contact stress and potentially last longer before they get sloppy and rattle.

I have not used the rod ends in the link above. I just wanted to show an example of a place to source them. They are referred to as precision Teflon-lined, similar to the rod ends used in many assembled end link kits. Simply threading one male and one female (3/8" or 7/16") together with a jam nut might not create a link that is long enough for a Miata; 2 males with a hex bar turnbuckle may work better. The quality of the rod ends is probably what matters most.

I'm using the ones sold by Mazda Motorsports - $30 each. I thought they were sourced from AWR, but AWR's price on them is quite a bit higher, so I'm not sure on that. A bit noisy on the street, but nice otherwise and can be adjusted on the car.

Actually some like the cobalt ones from moss use 3/8" rod ends. I thought they were junk and required smaller bolts to mount them. I also had some ISC racing ones and they started to rattle pretty quickly. I think the 949 ones are similar to the old Whiteline ones I had maybe they have better quality rod ends but the white line ones wore out eventually for me as well. The Racing beat ones bind up and don't work well in my opinion I had some of those as well.
