Default 6 Speed Input Shaft Sleeve Question

I pulled the tranny yesterday for a squealing throw out bearing and noticed the input shaft sleeve is a little worn. Is this normal? I didn't notice it when I put it in but I also wasn't troubleshooting anything. The transmission has ~65k easy miles on it. I stuck a caliper on it and the worn area is about .017" deep.

Thoughts appreciated.

Was your throwout bearing completely seized up?

No. Actually it feels perfect. I'm a little puzzled about the squeaking. The pivot ball and slave ball had grease. FM stage 2 clutch disk is at .329". Torque on the pressure plate bolts felt fine when I took it off.

It's in the first post bad man. I also specify my pivot ball was lubed.

Anyone have a link to replacing the front seal on a 6 speed? That would have directions and torque specs to R&R the sleeve.

IIRC, The input on the trans doesn't have a standard style seal, it's just permatex-ed, no no seal replacement guide for u :(

I was thinking more in terms on the input shaft seal. Those instructions would include the shield. I'll play it by ear but anyone know the torque specs for the bolts?
