Ok guys i am really wanting to go to five lug for my miata. Not because i plan on making insane power. Or atleast not until i lsx swap.

But for wheel choices. I have a picture in my head of my miata with 15x10 prostars on it. Or maybe try to pull off the 6ulr. i dont know.

But anyway corksport will be making a lug conversion if there is enouph interest. So go sign up now... you know you want to. If this thread is breaking any forum rules i apologize just let me know.

http://clubroadster.net/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=32675

And discuss. Does any body want 5 lug? wheels are more common.

Anyone have any ideas. for wheels with this bolt pattern

I think this is a cool conversion, it opens up good wheels for our cars, not just for rice factor but good widths/offsets in high quality wheels

4x114.3 is a sucky pattern. Lame Nissans and Honduhs use it. 5x114.3 is a good pattern, but has no advantage in wheel fits for a Miata, unless you think wheels that were made for mid-80s Mustangs and Camaros are a good idea on a Miata.

Pro-Stars are the wrong wheels for a Miata. If you disagree with this statement, your ideas are wrong and you are probably stupid.

The wheels that make sense for a Miata are already available in 4x100. All the 15x7s in the world, plus a bunch of 15x7.5, 15x8 and even a couple 15x9. If you need 15x10, get them made by one of the custom wheel builders that seems to exist mainly to serve the SCCA membership. You can get styles similar to the Pro-Star, and you'll be spending your money on something that can be sold to another Miata guy down the road.

Or they could just use FD-RX7 hubs and have a machine shop redrill the stock brake rotors.

And a whole thread about this kinda stuff on m.net

The only interest I can see to go with a 5 lug conversion is for, dopeshitzzz/OG/ballerzzz/mad tyteee cluboffset wheels. Which is all fine and great if you're into that. In any other sense, I can't see why a 4x100 15x9 won't do the trick? What kind of rubber do you really need for a 10" wheel? All im saying is, if you can't get the job done (whatever it may be) with a 4x100 15x9, maybe you should be questioning the motive instead of the solution. Other then that, the only motive I can think up is, being mad tyteeee with sweet lookin' 5 lug wheels?

On a side note, Doppel how is the engine situation coming?

I dislike pro-stars, but I think bigs and littles look very good on a Miata with a little bit of a rake. CCW Drag Pack on a Miata would be sick as **** with 15''s in the rear and 16''s in the front.

I'd be down with big-n-little if there was a solid axle, four-link, at least 500 bhp and the car was under 2000 lb.

Hey man, this would be mad tyte, do a 6 lug conversion from a viper. Not only would you have not 1 but 2 extra lugs, you could use a large assortment of viper/truck wheels that would handle all the torque of the ITB's you are probably planing. If having wheels that can move a tectonic plate isn't enough, you can tell all of your hellakewl civic buddies you have viper parts. But then they would make fun of you, because all domestics don't handle and are only good in straight lines, but vtec is faster.
