So where does a stock R package suspension fit in, assuming of course the shocks aren't blown to hell? I'm trying to figure if I should rebuild what I have or replace it with something else.

Do you have the money to replace it with something else?

XIDA-S price reduction $2700 > $2389.
Better value, same great performance

I'd be able to replace it with something else in the near future. I either need to replace it or refurb what I have now because the suspension is definitely showing its age to the point of creaking when you get in and out of the car.

So figure out your budget and replace it with something from the list. Not too hard.

My question is more about where the stock R suspension slots in the lineup quality wise. For example, will my car handle better if I send my Bilsteins back in to get rebuilt or go with Racelands or teins, or ?. I'm not assuming that every aftermarket setup is automatically better than stock but maybe I'm mistaken.

For the dollar, send your Bilsteins to be revalved. If you are using NB upper mounts, have Bernie shorten your shocks 15mm or so while you're at it.

Why do you say that? I talked to him a little while ago and I am running ISC tops. He said with the ISC tops that there is no need to shorten them.

Would I be better off to shorten them then? From your experience?

Because the NB tophats allow less travel than the ISCs. R-Package Bilsteins at stock length, with off the shelf ISC tophats, already allow enough compression travel to put the rear control arm into the frame. Short bodies would just mean a really long bumpstop, unnecessary compression travel, and insufficient droop.

So what you're saying is with the ISC tops, shortening the shocks is not nessicary?
