we completely dropped the diff.....we did not however, take off the power plant frame, just worked the diff around it which was really easy. we also did not take off the half shafts, just disconnected the rear wheel spindles off the top control arms and pushed them out till the axles came out. we DID take off the exhaust mid section as that was in the way.

yeah but u still unbolted the PPF from the diff. that's the problem i ran into. i couldn't get it off of the diff housing and was forced to take it off of the trani. even when the diff and ppf were out we still had a dificult time getting the bolts off. Even with the bolts off we STILL couldnt separate teh PPF and diff for some dumb reason. i wish i had it as easy as u guys!

you can use a big *** prybar as a lever to twist and seperate the ppf from the diff.
