Default Installation complete

The 11.75" rotor is certainly beefier

And about 2.6 lbs heavier in aggregate

Out with the old (the car had been sitting for a while after a wash - hence the patina of rust)

A fair amount of clearance with these 15x8 6ULs

Installation was a breeze. There are no instructions on which way to mount the caliper bracket, but it's fairly obvious through inspection.

Fresh XP12 pads were installed and all mounting bolts were torqued to 40 lb-ft (after liberal application of threadlocker).

There's not a lot of clearance between the caliper and 15x8 rim. No interference that I could discern though.

Money shot: That fills the wheel nicely.

Clearance to my 15x9 6UL track wheels is about the same to the barrel of the rim, but closer to the spokes.

My favourite wheel.

My next track day is tomorrow and the first session will be to bed everything in nicely. Thanks again Andrew - well worth the wait.

Update: Brakes performed flawlessly at my track day today. They bedded-in reasonably well by my second session:

Unfortunately, my Quaife tranny blew up again during my third session.

I have flyin miata 11" setup up front on my car. It is the dynapro calipers. Will these calipers fit your upgrade kit?

Put mine on this weekend, they look great, can't wait to see how they perform at Road America this fall. (Nittos are my street wheels/tires)

Single-plane balance on street cars, no wheel weights on race cars.

No pads with the kit. Everyone has different needs or preferences for pads (brand/compound), so rather than charge everyone a set of pads that probably won't work for most people, we leave pads out of the kit (and the price).

Blackpegaz, the clearance on the DP6s is definitely a bit tighter than the DP4s or DL4s. The tie rod interference is interesting - I checked clearance on new OEM 93LE tie rods and had no issues. Are yours OEM or aftermarket?

Car looks great

FYI- from the pile of parts I just removed. These weigh the same as factory 1.6 parts with half used pads. Not that people buying this kit are that concerned with weight. But some weight weenies exist (autocrossers). I'll be tossing some scalloped rotors at this later down the line.

Weight is definitely a concern. A considerable motivator of my purchasing a similar kit.
