If you watch the final video on their page, it runs on what looks like a MS3x.

It's like an inside-out Wankel.

I have been following this company for a few years. They are local to me, so when I was changing careers a yr ago I looked at applying, but went for something with a little more stability. At this stage the company is mostly academic. Run by a few geniuses and highly funded by VC's. Seems like they do a lot of really cool work though. I am curious to see where they will be in a few more years.

Bitterly reminiscing about how their engine could have revolutionized the world if only [something].

Not hating, just statistics.

Most likely. It takes a truly revolutionary change to overturn the staggering amount of money that's been invested in refining 4-stroke piston engine technology.

Not to mention the fact that the 21st century isn't a great time to be developing new ways to burn fossil fuels, insofar as gathering grant money, venture capital, tax breaks and political support are concerned.

I got the impression they got DARPA funds to develop a diesel generator. You never know with some explicit military requirements. I'm just happy to see dev monies go into rotary. Probably down the drain, but what the heck.

Would you say their future seemed wobbly?
