Actually drifting is probably the only motorsport you can do with a 1.6 without breaking the diff. If you don't have traction, there isn't a lot of stress on it.

Craigslist so is depressing for Miatas. It's almost worse than honda stuff now. I can't find an unmolested non-shitty Miata. They just keep getting bought and sold with each owner adding a few pieces of crap trying to make their dream of becoming a drift pro slips just out of their reach. Although the rare decent Miata is being sold for like $9000.

Also I see OP has chosen the "Entertain us" route.
