Default I'm a ricer.

http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-531-Wheels-s/1674.htm

15x8 +20 fronts
16x8 +0 rears

205/50/15 Falken AST's for the front
205/50/16 Falken AST's for the rear

Ordered. Hopefully these will help improve mpg over the 225/45/15 NT01 235/60/15 MT Drag radial combo.

Discuss why I suck at life.

what's the point of the 16s in the rear?

what's the point of shitty ASTs on both the front and rear?

stagger is not a legtimate answer. 205/50/15 and 205/50/16 will both have a 6.9" tread width.

if the goal is MPG, I don't understand putting a bigger heavier tire on the rear. If anything you'd want to fit 185s on it, strech them, then call yourself a ricer, but in the back of your mind realize that the narrower tire has less rolling resistance and probably the best best at getting lower mpgs.

that huge rear tire is just going to look odd as ---- if it even fits, and your speedo is going to be off by close to 10mph...so when you think you're doing 60mph you'll be nearly at 70mph...eventually youll forget, getr a speeding ticket, and/or again, negate any mpg benefits.

Taller tire? Japanese car wishing it was American?

Give me credit, I went with the better for driving offset.

Oooohh mah gowd you're killing legitimate businesses, designers are going hungry, US industry is dead, etc.

Would rock. But still don't understand why the different diameters front and rear. In for mounted pics to see what the effect will be.

Like the wheels but I agree with Brain why stagger?

Falken ASTs are gonna sound like a wookie taking a shard after about 4k miles...and you wont be able to rotate them.

The stagger is RETARDED.

I know because I rocked a set of 15x7f 16x8r for a few months a long time ago.
Your car will handle like absolute horseshit. Seriously. Not only handle, but "feel" like it too.
`
Otherwise those wheels are actually quite nice looking. I would definitely rock them (in a non-retarded stagger configuration).

Good luck, but I'd seriously revise the order to a square setup

You do realize those wheels are severely back ordered, right?

http://clubroadster.net/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=52729

The CR guys ordered them in December.

they might be staggered wheels, but he's doing it wrong. I'd want a 10% wider tire on the rear, not taller

I think he has successfully failed at EVERYTHING with this configuration:
mpg fail
looks fail
handling fail
practicality fail

Seriously, its like a perfect example of when "everything is wrong"

I'm completely serious: get something like 16x6.5 with a 185 tire to keep diameter at maximum but width and weight at minimum.

Or buy a prius.

Taller gives more contact patch also. I was going to do a 225/50/15, but was afraid it'd be too tall (like the current tire on the car) at 24.9 inches. If they suck that bad, they'll just go up in a blaze of a burnout.

So you're almost sure it will be fail, everyone is telling you it will be fail, but you want to try it anyway?
Then you'll burn off the tires and waste like $200 while trying to save $2 in gas money?
ok.

Good luck lol

what's the weight difference between the 15x8 and 16x8? the tires are already ~2 lbs heavier each.

also for reference, this is a 225/50/15 in the rear and 205/50/15 in teh front:

so your 205/60/15 is going to be just a touch taller than that rear tire.

and IIRC, it barely cleared the tire well and rubbed ever so slightly up front:
