1.8 cam cover
so uhm yeah, someone has a 1.8 cam cover (also called valve cover) for me. would prefer 94-00, but will take an ugly *** 01-05 if that's what is available.
help me out, my ******* cam shafts have started to rust!

I'm assuming this is an engine that's not running? You can clean them up with fine steel wool, cover them in a thin sheet of motor oil, then wrap them in saran wrap. Then they won't rust anymore. That's how I stored my crankshaft and cams for my 2nd and 3rd engines that are lying around here.

Rob, let me know please if you have any other 99/00 head swap stuff I could purchase from you. Right now I have a NA long block, BP4W head, NB fuel rail, NA fuel press reg.
Need 99/00 intake mani and I think camshafts too. My rusting cams have BP embossed on them. I was under the impression that 99/00 cams have 4W embossed. The head is absolutely 4W and has solid lifters.
Ark, yup you're right. If the cams are indeed correct I could clean them up... would probably bring them by the machine shop to be polished. But I need the cam cover eventually anyway, and there's no use in letting spiders and dirt and junk get into the head.

yeah he said that he can't split it, lack of space or something.
the long block is worth several hundred $$. probably $300-400 pretty easily. if you don't want it, put it in the classifieds and it will sell. the block itself is also easily shippable. As is the head by itself.
If that motor weren't 3000 miles away I would have bought it, kept the parts I needed, and would have broken even or maybe even turned a profit by selling off what I didn't. Unfortunately coast to coast shipping, with a liftgate at both terminus, would double the cost of the motor.
Anyway if you're interested in that, LMK. You'd stand to make a few hundred $ for your efforts, and I'd get the parts I need.
