Wtb: Rods, cams

I am getting a lot of different advice for sure. The guy actually building my motor likes Eagle rods-experience from his drag racing, the "Miata Expert", who actually is very reputable, says if Im racing the car at over 10-12lbs of boost, then he said don't get the Eagles and get Carrillo.
So, who knows. The Egles are $340, the Carrillo's are about $800. Pretty big difference, but its also very expensive and time consuming to rebuild it again.

Since my name was already dropped....
I can't prove that these rods are equivalent to a $1000 dollar set of Carillo H-Beams, but they've been around a few years and in a few builds and I was confident they would support anything I could throw at a miata motor with a stock set of gears.

My Eagle H-beams are supporting 300 whp at 25 psi. No reason the M-tuned ones wont either.

18psi is going to be over 300whp soon... on m-tuned rods.
Savington has 290whp on m-tuned rods.
Hustler has aprox 300whp on m-tuned rods
I have ~275whp on m-tuned rods, and plan to get to 300 soon.
Sav, Hustler and i all track our cars.

Sweet. Sounds like everyone is happy with their rods.. I am just gathering information, and please understand, I am not saying anything bad about the M-Tuned rods. I have only heard good things about them and have ordered other things from them.
So I am just asking, same answer if you wanted to try for 400hp?

lol @ an engine builder telling you to put $1300 rods in a 300hp 4-cylinder. There are varying degrees of load in a 300hp car compared to a 1000hp 4-cylinder...you are at the bottom of that range.
