Need a Friend In Central CA the week before MRLS in August
I’m posting this on a few miata forums so if you read it somewhere else, sorry. I didn't want to spam the general section with this so I figured the WTB section would be best.
Short version: I need to stash my truck/trailer/miata somewhere reasonably close (a few hours) to the track for about 10 days the last week in August until Thursday 9/4.
Long version:
I’m attending Miatas at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in September and the calendar has presented some logistical challenges. My kids and I always drive from Seattle to LA to visit their Aunt and Uncle at the end of the summer. Their cousin’s birthday is 8/27 so we target the week that includes that date and come home around Labor Day. MRLS is the weekend following Labor Day this year so we’re going to combine the trips and do MRLS on the way back from LA.
We’ll drive the 4 seat car around LA but we don’t have room at their house to park the truck/trailer/track car combo. The truck is an F-150 standard cab with no AC that will be full of tools, spares and tires so it isn’t suitable to use for the southern leg of the vacation if we would even fit and 3 people on a bench seat would be awful so the tow combination will need to stay in central CA somewhere closer to the track.
The kids both drive so the three of us will drive the two rigs down to the home of the unnamed good Samaritan on the way to LA and then move into the car for the rest of the trip before returning to pick up the truck the Thursday morning before the track weekend. It doesn’t need to be garaged or behind a fence. I just need it to be in a ‘safe’ place where someone can keep an eye on it and call me if it vanishes overnight.

Edit: Problem solved! Andrew from Trackspeed has graciously offered a spot at his shop for the week. I appreciate the numerous other offers I received. Please say hi at the track - the first round is on me!
