Default Valve Cover Bolts!

I have a dilemma here. I snapped one of my valve cover bolts, no worries i got it out but i want to replace all of them just to be safe since they have been out numerous of times. So yesterday i called the mazda dealership(i get trade cost since a work for another dealership GM) to order them says there 2.74$ a piece. So i figure okay order them up i guess thats a reasonable price for chrome bolts. Go pick them up today there ******* shitty bolts i could buy at the hardware store for 10cents each...called him back i guess they changed up the part number or discontinued the chrome ones and i cant get them anymore :(. Soo if anyone has a set of 11 BRAND NEW valve cover bolts i would like to purchase them. If not someone who has one of them il give u a couple bucks + the shipping for one, seems kind of dumb but i cant even buy one chrome one! Thanks. Mike

I use the normal bolts. If you're breaking them it sounds like you might be over torquing them. Might want to either check the torque spec you're using or use a different torque wrench that is properly calibrated. Isn't the spec like 65 inch pounds?

I'm waiting for mine to snap, they've been in and out a million times. I was planning on using ss Allen hardware when they do. Cheaper, look just as good, and won't rust.

Well there ya go. I'd prefer something with a shoulder, but those will work. Same damn thing you get at ACE though.
