they're actually pretty cheap from the dealer. I see them going for more in the classifieds and on ebay than you can get them for new.

I don't remember b/c it's been a good year since I checked. $50 I think, including the hardware (4 bolts). Part #'s are in the m.net garage.

Are the ones above the windshield interchangable with the side latches? Im thinking of getting the spec miata plates but would like the side latches to be snug and possibly use the striker plates for the side latches and the spec plates for more security for the upper latch locations

Oh, you need the actual latches? The link was for the striker plates. Yeah, I believe that the latches are all the same on the hardtop and the softtop. Sometimes you can score used latches cheap. New, they're pretty expensive. If you're going to bolt the front down, you may as well bolt them all down. I don't think that the SM brackets are too expensive.

no no no i must not have been clear, i need the striker plates, but are the ones from the upper mounts interchangable with the side ones?

As for the spec miata brackets, i feel like the side latches wont get it as snug down as the latches will, am i incorrect?

The top strikers are not the same as the side strikers. They look similar, but if you have both in your hands you'll see the differences.

I have a set of side strikers AS WELL AS the hard dog "low profile" latches for use with the hard core bar. too bad they dont work with the hard core bar, but they are lower profile.

So do the spec miata hardtop mounting kits keep it as snug as the oem latches would?

My gf said she wanted to get me a set for x mass so far i have only found these

http://www.saferacer.com/republic-ha...?productid=538

Would anyone reccomend a better or cheaper set? I would like the best snug fit for the hardtop to my car so keep that in mind.
Thanks everyone
