Default WTB '01+ valve cover and upper intake manifold

Picked up my new motor and these are the missing parts. Definitely need the valve cover with the VVT oil line, probably going to want the UIM (unless the '99 fits?) until I can get a proper IM onto it.

PM me prices including shipping to 93405. Thanks.

Hey, I have an MSM valve cover I picked up in a box of parts recently. The owner tried to strip and paint it but it looks like poop, also has the cam gears exposed. Let me know if you are interested.

You can use your 99 intake manifold on the vvt head.

Awesome, thanks Ben. I was wondering about that. I think I may try and fit the '99 upper to the '01 lower to ditch the VVT butterflies. In the end I want to do an aftermarket IM but I need something in the interim.

Zoomin, thanks for the offer but the '01 valve cover has a specific provision for the VVT that I need.

I'm pretty sure I have an old one sitting in my garage that's not the prettiest thing in the world (ceramic coating issue). It's been cut to expose the cams and I believe it's missing the baffle covers on the underside. If you might be interested, I can dig it out and take a few pictures for you.

I could deal with a cut one. Shoot me a couple photos. Thanks, Jay.

Are the gaskets for those baffle covers essential? When I took my valve cover to get powdercoated, I took those plates off and the old gaskets were all gummy and disintegrated. After powdercoating I reassembled without the gaskets. I'm not sure what purpose those baffles serve. My guess is to reduce the area inside the valve cover so oil doesn't splash around as much?

Jay, do you have the lines that run the VVT? The ones that bolt onto the top of the cover.

Keep in mind 01 lower has a butterfly in each runner.

I should, might take a little time, but I'll dig through the garage later on today.

99 and 01 manifold halves are incompatible.

Looked around and the only one I have is on a spare head so I don't want to part with it quite yet. If you really get into a situation where you need any parts to use temporarily, just let me know though.

You know you want these. The red powdercoating is an extra 20hp guarenteed $100 plus shipping - they will need to be cleaned as the guy that blasted them prior to powder coating didn't clean the insides.
