WTB: 6" VLSD or 6" Open with axles
Someone must have one of these that is working. Possibly interested in:
-VLSD
or
-Open with Axles.
Friend has an ES car which just ate the diff. The car is an 93 LE, so the VLSD would be preferred. Seller must be willing to ship to Canada.

If the person wants to stay in SCCA ES, the VLSD is really the only option. I will pass the info to him and let him decide.

I'll let it go pretty cheap, especially since shipping is going to eat your ***.
I kept it as a backup for my stock 6", anticipating I would blow it. If I can raise a little more coin I've got a 7" swap done and won't need it.
It came out of a ~70K miles car, so it may not be "viscousing" anymore. Previous owner was running nothing but Red Line Synthetic in it though, which comes with it as long as FedEx doesn't turn it upside down.
I kept it as a backup for my stock 6", anticipating I would blow it. If I can raise a little more coin I've got a 7" swap done and won't need it.

Be advised for you USA people shipping to Canada, youre likely to get fucked later by back charges from duties, fees, and bullshit taxes. In other words, your carrier FedEx/UPS etc will bill you later and the amount will be some random *** Canadian ****. Just a word of caution.

I've had a pile of stuff shipped to Canada and never once has a seller told me that they were assessed charges for tax, brokerage or duty. In fact with the exception of one time with FedEX they always demand payment of fees before releasing the item. In the case of FedEX, they sent ME the bill.
Granted I haven't shipped items from the US to Canada, but have received a lot and never has this happened.

I've always seen the shipper charge the recipient as well...and I usually discuss declared value beforehand. I'm pretty sure UPS actually has you sign off somewhere whether or not they can access the fees to you, and you can say no. It often means the buyer won't see their parts for an extra day or two, and has to actually pick them up at the local office where they pay the duties.

We pretty well squared away a deal after figuring out what all he needed. It turns out as long as you have the stub shafts the VLSD is a direct swap in for the 6" open. Looks like I just have an extra drive-shaft and half shafts now. Will package tonight...and be ready to ship tomorrow.
I tested the unit last night and it is still viscousing...so I hope it works well for him.
EDIT: Done deal...going to send it his way.

I am the one that sent you a torsen swap and ****** FedEx lost half of it and we had to wait for their slow *** to pay a claim. 3 months after that they billed me some serious coin for what they say you did receive. Who knows with those *****, perhaps theyre double dipping. What pisses me off is that they take a couple months to get around to assessing a bill. They always claim that the recipient didnt pay the duties etc. So, the net result for me when they do this **** is that I lose my *** on the parts I sent at an agreed price.
I talked to a friend about this who owns a packaging and shipping business and he said this kinda **** is pretty common with Canadian shipments.
At any rate, I have been fucked over this way on every single shipment I have made to Canada except one, and that was a nickle and dime item sold to some old guy on m.net.
As a result I no longer ship parts to Canadian addresses as folks in your fine country dont like the idea of paying a random upfront surcharge/deposit, and I dont blame them, so I just gave it up. YRMV.

The thing is you cannot even figure how the hell they come up with the amounts, its like numbers they pull out of their ***.
On the last shipment I made to Canada they tried to charge me $76 some 3 1/2 months later. I told them to suck my nut bag, never paid it, and as a result no longer have a FedEx acct.
Fedex lost TWO torsens for me....count 'em, two. Both were "lost" at the same hub where yours was "lost".
I am thinking there is a dude at that terminal who is in the auto parts biz on the side.

I always wondered why the guys in Canada were always so ecstatic when I'd make a deal...they act like I wrote that "Blame Canada" song or something and had finally come around.
I guess the shipping companies screw enough sellers that it's hard to do business. I haven't had problems, but I should knock on wood today.
I'll avoid FedEx like the plague.
