Hey everyone. While putting off my 6 speed build I managed rip 3rd gear out of my 5 speed.

I got home ok, and from how loose the shifter feels in 3rd, I assume the gear is missing.

I'm wondering: Does anyone have a 5 speed with some other gear than 3rd broken? I figure I could dig third gear out of your tranny and add it to mine (or the other way around) and have one functioning unit out of two corpses.

Let me know, it might give me more breathing room on putting together the 6 speed. Thanks! I'm hoping for someone either local, or with the gears already out of their tranny, since it's not worth shipping a whole tranny for so cheap a hack. :-)

You are SO SLOW. Damnit. I'm heading up that way, tomorrow, in a real car, I could even get one... But I just finished putting the 5 back together, all cleaned up.

damnit. I so don't want to turn this into a two week project. But I have a friend in a similar situation, if you want to donate them for close to nothing, I'm sure evetually we'd have two working trannies...
