Default WTB: Headlight covers

I'd like a set of headlight covers. Undamaged please. All colors are fine... Red preferred... black next... but if its free/cheap enough... I'll take others .

This would be shipped to 60190... hook a brother (who just killed his hood and headlight blockoffs at 90mph on track...) up.

Heh, i don't think anyone got pictures by the time I took it off. Pit lane guys said "if you can get it off, you can finish the session"...

I think i was back out on course in 5 minutes tops

Basically got distracted while taping down headlight lids... forgot hood pins. Made it 3/4 around track... almost into braking zone... and WHOMP, rip, rest.

It whipped up in a split second, ripped the driver side hinge apart and bent over the passenger side. I took the turn like normal... and headed into track out.

No damage other than misc scratches to hardtop (a hardtop that already has tons of scratches/chips).

I love aluminum hoods.... especially ones with no skeleton

Oh.. went to jyard yesterday... got new hood... already on... just awaiting a new venting scheme to be cut outta it.

Driving a "free" SM, I got nailed left front fender going into a turn by noob. Totally caved the fender in all around the tire. Made an entire lap and in the same spot (t5 rd atl) the hood (full skeleton) came up. Turn out the hood pins were cast and the hit actually cracked them. But yeah- that was a hell of a surprise after regaining my confidence in the car.

I know that I have at least one right side red, plus one white but I think it is a right also. Have the buckets, too if needed. I'm out of town now but will be home tomorrow night. Red is perfect off of a 26k car. $20 shipped?

All I'd need stein is the actual lid/covers. I'm going to fab brackets up so they just sorta hover in place. I think I can swing 20 shipped for the one red one... find me one for the other side too ... you know you want too

Fortunately, that was anti-climactic. I had visions of it pasted to your windshield at 90 and you trying to look out the window with a harness on.

The more I think about it, the guy that bought the white car's bumper took the left one, so I'm almost sure I only have two rights. I have a friend with some parts cars and I will ask him if he has a left.

I may have a good set (I know I have at least one side cover), if you haven't found anything by tomorrow I will let you know, not going to my shop until after work tomorrow.

it's the tear-away hood! Removing all the structure makes a big difference on the impact for sure. I can't believe you got as far as you did.

Heh, It makes me considering pulling the full skeleton again. It's such simple weight reduction... and definitly lessens the impact. It was like being hit with a big sheet of aluminum foil.

I'm down for 2 headlight lids still. Just let me know guys.
