I was wondering if anyone has gotten adaptronic to run VVT very well yet. Searching through the forum it looks like most people are having trouble. I wanted to know how much of a pain it will be if I go this route

That was the impression I had gotten, people just weren't controlling it with adaptronic. What are you using to control VVT?

According to the last ecu file you posted, you are not.

Check AUX OUT tab.



I was running VVT until my OCV valve decided to stop working.

Wow, that is strange... I thought it was working since whenever I run a log it showed movement in the VVT column.... but if that is the case... I guess I have more to do!

So is it as simple as turning on the output and then go for a drive? Is there any risk of messing my **** up? Now I am frightened!!!

What you have seen in the logs is the vvt target, look at the "VVT Duty" and "VVT (º)".

I am trying to fine tune this part yet. BTW If you turn on the VVT on the 3# auxout, you should see something like this:



Don't forget to set "Ref 1 (º)" box in the special functions tab. The default value is 85, I had to add 10º because it's 10º advanced when it supposely must be 0º

Wow, I will go and try this when it stops snowing... but for the sake of asking... what will I notice when VVT is working? I didn't notice that it wasn't so now I am really excited to find another 2000 HP hiding in there somethere

Auxout2: disable this, you're using a setting for the 99-00... I think is the VICS switchpoint. You don't need this since your car don't have vics.

Auxout3: check the PWM box and select 200Hz from the drop-down menu on the left.

VVT Target map: you can use the default value, it's not bad. But the best way to achieve more hp is to tune vvt on a dyno. Maybe some y8s words of wisdom are needed here.

the advance looks ok. since it's only a 2D map though, you may get some oscillation below 3000 rpm at light load. not much you can do about it without sacrificing low end.
