Bad hot start
Hey Mazda owners.
Been a lurker for a few months, you guys seem to be the largest base of Adaptronic users. I don't have a Miata, but I'm posting this for suggestions to help my bad hotstart. Car is a Corolla with a 4a Turbo, running a GT2560R as recommended from this site. Which is what you guys recommended for the 1600cc Miata, so I figured that would probably apply to a 1600cc Corolla, works a treat. Anyway, no trouble with cold start, starts fine. The problem is warm/hot starts, seems to crank for a while before firing. My crank settings: http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/803/imageone.jpg Keep in mind, the car has no air temp sensor so assume the temperature is 0 degrees constant. The car also has no idle control. Too much fuel or too much air? Thanks in advance Chris |

Crap im using way too much fuel.
Probably flooding the hell out of the cylinders. Im running similar values but i have 440cc injectors. I'll start with trimming them back 20 percent from 30degrees. Thanks a lot, gives me a starting point. |
Use the VE tuning option for cranking. Solved all my cranking problems.

Thanks soo much guys.
Reduced the fuel like 50 percent and now she cranks as it should. Also now doesnt smell like fuel. So glad Adaptronic is so easy to adjust values like so. |
