Default Version 2 WARI and firmware released

Looks pretty interesting:
  • Added Volumetric Efficiency tuning
  • Added EGT-based aux outputs
  • Added ignition firing after TDC
  • Optimised Nissan 4 and 6 cylinder unique triggers, particularly for faster starting
  • Added optional filter with 1 second time constant for temperature inputs
  • Updated the idle control functionality (fixed A/C idle-up, enabled separate idle efforts to be added for different elec load inputs, changed the target RPM strategy to take the highest of the additional RPM values rather than the sum).
  • Added MAP prediction "drive by wire" mode for less sensitive throttle thresholds
  • Added ELM327 mode for once only at startup
  • Added 0-4V Autometer ES PRO calibration on external input
  • Added calibration for Jaycar KC5486 0-5V oxygen sensor on external input
  • Added calibration for Dynojet 0-5V oxygen sensor on external input

Downloads

Anyone going to try the VE tuning? Hopefully the improved idle code will help us all!

I hope the idle code resolves an issue I've been having. All will be well for hours of driving when the car will refuse to catch on the way down from highway speeds. I've experimented with every possible setting to no avail.

Sounds good. Does anyone know what model Travis has been shipping recently? Still don't have mine, so I can't see if this would work with mine. Their site says it won't work on e420b.

Damn, still no scrollbar for us netbook users

Have you tried the dashpot stuff? I'd try asking Rob on the Adaptronic forum as he knows these things backwards!

I have some issues when I run WARI maximised, but if I run it windowed then drag the window size out so it takes up most of the screen I can then get to all the cells with the arrow keys.

This little setting is friggin awesome! It will catch the RPMs off throttle and will help get rid of the dying issues... Made my car good again...

Cheers,
Matt

I definitely like how they cleaned things up. I'll have to try the VE tuning and see how that works out.

The dashpot feature has really helped alot of people with off idle transitions. I would think this would be especially important for supercharged vehicles.

What are the units that the extra effort value uses? Is it an arbitrary scale?

I tried this, but it effectively kills my deacceleration fuel cut. Do I have a setting wrong?

Thanks,
Patrick

Hmm.... that is a good question...

You wanna meet up sometime and compare notes and settings? Maybe a meeting of the minds will get some results for us both? I have the car pretty decent but would like to explore the drive by wire settings, VE stuff... and play with the idle more. Thinking that with 2 cars and 2 minds we can maybe cover ground that hasn't been done yet?

Lemme know since I am still in Germantown

Cheers,
M@

Default VE Tuning

Has anybody tried the VE tuning?

After selecting the tick box for VE tuning using fuel map 1, selecting 1800cc engine size and 265cc/min injector size my fuel map 1 looks like this. Does this look right or is this where I make all the cells 80%?

I'm definitely up for this. I can host if you and swimming108 want. There's a pretty good test loop on 28 to Georgia ave.

Now if we could just get rid of the snow we'd be set.
