Why would idling lean be bad? there's no load. I used to cruise at 17.0-17.5:1 until I saw my subaru's burnt exhaust valve. Even though there's absolutely no relation I added a little fuel to the cruise zones. No i'm at 16.5-17.0. i can eat off the inside of my turbine housings.
