Is it possible to run full standalone on the '99 NB?
 

As per title really, has anyone succesfully used the Adaptronic to replace the stock ECU and fully control all of the systems including VICS and even air conditioning on a '99 NB?

The Adaptronic in parallel form takes over all the performance based features of the motor including VICS, and a/c. The second chart (in the same file as the first) shows what the NB harness takes advantage of. Basically the only thing the parallel install does is take care of the things you never think about.

Emissions - does that include both EGR and Evap canister? If so I've already removed the charcoal canister and could do without the EGR.
Immobiliser - mines a Jap spec car, not fitted.
Transmission interation - auto?
OBD11 - again jap spec so not fitted.
Alternator - I've been pointed to a very nice circuit on here to handle that.
Main relay switching - no idea how this is triggered or what would be required to do so.

The alternator is the main point. The other thing that has to be dealt with is the main relay. Thats just a 12v signal to the relay so you can kick the reed switch. You can wire an aux-out to hand that.

Adaptronic is badass and absolutely worth the money. Let me be the first to say that. Since I'm still figuring out its features and am a complete :noob: I'll let travis handle all the technical questions:D

Well I think I've ordered the right connector from Tyco and I have a suitable box to enclose it along with the PCB for the connector and alternator circuit.
Would anyone have a full stock ECU pinout to save me a few hours working it out from the diagrams?

Actually the main switching relay feed seems only necessary when using the immobiliser, is there any reason why I can't simply wire the ECU 12v source directly to it rather than use an output from the Adaptronic?

Really I wouldn't know why not. As long as all 12volt systems are properly powered you should be ok. Just trace it out, and make sure whatever the 12v relay feeds you get power to in some fashion.
